security deposit set up

I would like to charge a security deposit with each booking.  How do I set that up on my listing?  I just don't see that as an option.

There is  no option to set a security deposit.

Only if you use a channel manager it is allowed to charge a security deposit.

Hi @Deena65 

You cannot set a built-in security deposit on most listings anymore you must rely on AirCover and the Resolution Center for damage claims.

Airbnb policies prohibit hosts from requesting security deposits outside the platform. Asking guests for a deposit after booking via bank transfer, messaging apps, or other methods is not permitted. 

If you use property management software (API-connected)
You can set a deposit that will show up during booking, but it operates via external software and must be disclosed clearly.

Yes, I would like to more about a channel manager and API  property management software.  I have only one high-end property where a security deposit would be needed.  Please let me know what my options are.
