For years I've wanted to search by places that had a King-size bed. I see that feature was implementd a while ago. Now I want to search by places with fenced in yards. But there could be any number of things someone would want to filter by. It's such and EASY FIX. You could approach in 2 ways: 1) create some user-defined categories that hosts would create, or use existing categories, or 2) even simpler, is to give a keyword search. If I could simply type "fence" in the keyword search and the site would search either the heading or full description and regturn only those results, that would solve my problem and, I'm guessing, THOUSANDS OF OTHERS WANTING TO DO THE SAME THING. I was a software developer for over 40 years. This is a pretty standard, straight-forward feature to both define and implement. Like, seriously, I can't see it taking more than a week or two even with unit/system/application level testing. 

Also, the site doesn't always work. For example, the "Filters" link is sometimes missing. Why? There's a bug. Just an overly complicated site.

You're absolutely right—the absence of a simple keyword filter feels like a glaring omission, especially considering how many real-world use cases it would solve for both hosts and guests. As you said, implementing such functionality is straightforward, and from a business perspective, it directly impacts user satisfaction and retention. The issue with disappearing filters also points to underlying technical debt that needs attention.
