2 separate units in 1 house ..... is that OK or permit as a duplex?

Im almost under contract for a single family that has 2 separate entrances and yard.

Would I have to convert as a permitted duplex to abide by Airbnb regulations?

(I heard there will be an inspection to officially host in the LA area).

Or will this be fine to have 2 separate posts/units?
