Can guests install surveillance cameras in their Airbnb

The policy specifies host and does not explicitly exclude guest.  Based on legal principles, one would reason that nobody can install surveillance cameras.

@Andrea2460 you've asked this question twice. Its not their Airbnb, its your home and its not a public place imo, but I am not a lawyer. Why would you allow any installation?

 

Its not just up to Airbnb policies to police use so its important that you check your local privacy laws then point this out to your guest. 

 

Either way you as host may be liable to other guests for a guest's behaviour and House Rule compliance.
