Do you offer food and drink to your guests?

Do you offer food and drink to your guests_.jpg

Hello hosts 👋

I’m really excited to hear about the lovely things you do to make your guests feel right at home. So, I’m super curious, do you offer any delicious food and drink to your guests?

Whether it's a charming welcome basket filled with local treats, a delightful breakfast spread, or a thoughtfully curated selection of beverages, your special touches can make such a difference in their experience. I once stayed in a yurt in Derbyshire that was on a farm, and we were provided with a a very tasty bottled cows milk to go with my morning coffee. Delicious!

Please share your creative ideas, heartwarming stories, or any unique offerings you provide below! I can’t wait to hear all about it!

Hi Rebecca

Unfortunately we don't offer food to guests as the Airbnb is run remotely. Hope that answers your question

Many thanks

Katie

Yes we leave a folder in a visible place that gives our guests all the information about where to go for food or order in and places to have fun. We also leave treats like chocolates, biscuits and wine for our guests

@RebeccaWe leave complimentary wine and crackers for our guests 😊 We don't advertise it, though, so it becomes a pleasant surprise for them.

Such an interesting topic, Rebecca! I personally offer some snacks like chocolate, a selection of chips, various types of coffee and tea, and a plate of mixed fruits.

If any issue arises and I feel the guest is a bit upset, I smartly offer them a complimentary lunch for one day as a gesture of hospitality. It usually helps turn things around

Hello @Mohammed680 👋

That sounds like a lovely selection of snacks you provide. Offering a complimentary lunch is a really lovely gesture - what sort of food do you usually cook?

Regulations are loose in Accra. That makes things flexible, but it also comes with risks, so I keep it simple. I stock items to make tea and coffee. Apart from the pack of filter coffee, I throw out anything that is opened by the previous guest. Ouch! Wasteful, but better safe than regret. I also make it a point to stock the fridge with local beer brands, fresh fruit juice that is bottled at source and the usual soda varieties. I find that the drinks are a big hit with every guest. For repeat guests, I stock more of the drinks they focused on during their previous stays.

Hello @Lawrence362 👋

Greta shout to dispose of opened items for safety. Do you notice that guests tend to have favourite drinks they request each time they come back?

We leave a bottle of wine in a decorative wine holder and leave a box of chocolates.
