Guests doing excessive laundry

Guests doing excessive laundry

I had a guest stay 2 nights and did 8 loads of laundry.  We limit the Tide Pods we put out so they must have brought their own.  It just seems like a super excessive amount of laundry for 2 nights.  I'm not a laundromat.  And these guests came from 3 1/2 hours away from the house.  It's not like they were doing some huge long trip and this was the final stop.  Do people put rules around this to prevent this from happening?

Yes, some guests do this. Most don't.

You're better off just letting it go. If you confront them, expect a 1 star review complete with imaginary atrocities you committed.

And be careful about making too many "house rules". Some guests (particularly the nice ones that don't need to be told how to behave) can see it as petty and overbearing. Besides, "house rules" are all but unenforceable anyway.

If this keeps happening, you might want to investigate why you may be attracting people who have a lot of laundry? 🤔

There's good days and not so good days. Cherish the good ones. Let go of the bad ones. Nothing is perfect. Especially in this business.

Thanks Elaine!  And ya....I'm going to let it go.  And I agree about the rules as it's too restrictive and looks like I'm policing people.

I appreciate the kind and supportive feedback.
