It’s a nice touch when guests see compliments waiting for them as they enter the apartment.
I stock the fridge, especially when there are kids. We make sure to include plenty of things for them.
We also always leave a personal message for the guests, with their names on it and signed by us - welcoming them and offering free concierge services.
For example, they can message or call us to book the best restaurants in the city or arrange tickets for movies, theatre, concerts, and more.
Give us more ideas, please.
Can you share a link to your listing your profile shows you just as a guest @Lyudmil23
This has nothing to do with the post. Why do you need my listing?
To access the host community forum, users must have properties. I do have properties — they are just temporarily unavailable due to renovation before the summer season. Are you gonna contribute here or not?
How incredibly rude of you @Lyudmil23
I was asking so I could look at your listing so I could give you the additional ideas you requested .
I certainly now have no interest in helping you after receiving your negative response !
and this is a community for hosts and guests - you don't need to have a property to post here.
Hi @Lyudmil23,
I usually leave a welcome message on their bed together with a small bunch of Irish heather flowers -:))
Just a little touch makes a big difference -:)
Hello @Cristina3972, what a wonderful welcome strategy. Would you mind sharing a picture of the Irish heather flowers? It sounds really beautiful 🌸
Regards,
We’re very lucky that our place sits within a designated dark sky reserve, so we really try to make the most of that for our guests. Ahead of each stay, I prepare a personalised welcome note with the current moon phase and sunrise times, so guests can enjoy stargazing at its best and, if they’re early risers, watch the sunrise over the sea.
To make arrivals feel extra special, I also leave a homemade lemon and poppy seed cake ready for them, which many guests enjoy with a cup of tea after their journey. It’s those small, thoughtful touches that seem to make a real difference to the overall experience and often get mentioned in reviews.
Hello @Jacqui71, wow, this is such a lovely touch, and that lemon and poppy seed cake looks amazing! 😍 Do you leave this for every guest, or do you choose a few based on the length of their stay or the number of guests?
Thanks for sharing this.
Hi Paula,
Every single guest gets the cake! I love to bake, it makes my guests ….and my family….happy 😊
Impressive, @Jacqui71. It’s admirable how much love you put into hosting. Do guests usually mention this in their reviews?😊
Yes! It gets a mention in most reviews. I have been asked to share the recipe many times.
@Lyudmil23, please keep us posted on your thoughts about the wonderful ideas and strategies hosts have shared here 😊
