Hi wise hosts. I want to add a one bedroom bunkie as an option for 1-2 more people to our existing Airbnb space. It is nearby. They would share the full washroom & kitchen in the suite, though there is a sink and an outdoor shower and private deck w the bunkie. I also would run it seasonally not in the winter. Not sure the best way to do this. To be clear it can't be rented alone it must be in conjunction with the 2 bedroom self contained suite so they have a washroom & full kitchen. It is mainly to accommodate larger groups from 4 to 6 people. Any suggestions how I would list this? Thanks for the help.

@Nancy1588 You would need two listings. One for just the house and one that includes the outbuilding (never heard the term "bunkie" before). With appropriate guest counts, information, and photos on each.
Then you would have to link the calendars so if one listing was rented, the other becomes unavailable.

Thanks you @Sarah977 ! How was your holiday season in Sayulita? Tons of snow in Courtenay and here. The beach is even covered in snow! It was nice for Christmas but the moist cold air is causing some issues. I'm getting my Calendar ready to launch for 2022 soon so I appreciate your wisdom. Bunkie is a term that is often referred to in Cottage Country to a small outbuilding that usually has sleeping quarters only. Usually it is close to the water or has a nice view. Our's is a bit more substantial with sink and a nice deck and outdoor shower but no toilet so has to be shared with the suite or we just use it for our guests who drop in on occasion. Wishing you all the best for 2022! Still hoping to get there to Sayulita. Maybe this new year...
@Nancy1588 Oh, I did nothing for Xmas. Drinks with my neighbors, that's it.
My daughter in Merville said they have 4 ft. of snow at their place! Have to park the cars at the end of the driveway and shovel them out every day, then de-ice the locks and doors.
I've definitely heard of a bunkhouse before, just never heard it called a bunkie. Learn something new every day. 🙂
Thanks for the help @Sarah977 I have the "Sea Shed Bunkie" up now for the additional 2 bedrooms and linked the callendar to the Oyster Beach House. I have described in both how it works. The Oyster Beach House still can only book 4 people. I guess if someone is searching 6 people they may not see that they can be combined? I don't see any other way around it. Do you? Thanks again.
@Nancy1588 You've not done it correctly. You do not want a separate listing for the bunkie. Snooze that one right away so you don't get a booking for it.
What you need to do is scrap that listing, and in its place you make a listing which includes the house and the bunkie, shows both and has a 6 person max count.
