Hi, I'm just wondering how many hosts leave kitchen staples, like flour, honey, etc. I think one of the nice amenities of my home is the well equipped kitchen. I know that my family and I like to cook together in homes that we've rented and appreciated the staples left for us to use.

Wow, thanks for all the answers! Unfortunately, the notifications went to my junk mail, so I'm just seeing all these.
It is helpful to know that some of you like to leave a well stocked kitchen. I guess my concern was leaving open containers of things like flour, if there would be any concern of contamination. I am planning on using the house, too, so it would be convenient for me, as well, to have a good variety of staples.
Thank you to all that took the time to answer!
i have a well stocked kitchen and it is always appreciated and often remarked on in reviews. Coffee, teas, sugar, flour, spices, oils, all the cooking utensils, pots and pans, aluminum foil etc
Hi @Basha0 , have you noticed if guests use some of these supplies more than others?
Coffee for sure!
@Basha0 Coffee definitely seems a hot favourites amongst guests 😉 In this thread , many hosts mentioned preferring local coffee while some said they provide popular brands. Which one do you opt for?
Hi! I provide a waffle maker, waffle mix, syrup and butter-they always get used. Coffee, creamer (variety of those) and teas are a close second.
Yes! They use the waffle maker and mix very often.
That's great @Sherry613 ! Have you added similar amenities that are popular among your guests?
I'd love to hear more about your listing and hosting style🌻
Regards,
Hello. I found out that including breakfast result in more reservations. The first time I went into panic when guests arrived and there were no places in the restaurant available. The rate was so cheap that it was not a good idea to give them breakfast from the restaurants around the Hotel. You know what I did? I told asked them to forgive me for the inconvenient and the offered them a small market delivered to the suite, so they will have food for their breakfast. They did not like the idea so much but they accepted it as the only possible option at the moment.
Nowadays I am offering breakfast and when they reserve, I write them saying that the breakfast consists of yogurt, cheese, eggs, milk, coffee and te, sugar, salt, sweetener, water, juice and fruit. I have not received any reservation yet. I am waiting to see if it would work that way, otherwise I am going to have to change the configuration to breakfast not included.
What do you think? Do you know someone with the similar problem and solution?
Hi @Ana-Maria314 , it's a great idea to add breakfast options to the listing! I'll tag a few hosts here to see what they think.
Hi @Basha0 @Lisa8805 @MandM-Homes0 @Ana-Maria314 @Bea2515 @Kathy1496 @Lorina14 @Lin29864 @Mark5779 , what do you think of @Ana-Maria314 's offerings? Do you have any advice for her?
I blocked the option last night. I am going to offer it again today. I find it funny to prepare the breakfast during family trips. But just the breakfast.
@Bhumika I have not received any feedback from guests. I am using a marketing strategy. They reserve and if they do not want the market for the breakfast I just discount 10% of the total amount of the reservation. I am waiting until the last minute to see how it is going to end or to see their reaction.
Sounds great @Ana-Maria314 , please keep us posted of your findings and feedback from guests. Other hosts will be able to use your insights in this regards for sure 💯
Thank you!
