Hello @Rafay4
As hosts from the world over, the only way to be sure that you are meeting the short term rental laws for your town/country is for you to contact the local authorities yourself. Never rely on what others might say in this case.
A search on internet is another good source of information as long as you double check your findings and look at the date the article was published because for a lot of us, the laws are changing fast and are getting more restrictive for owners.
There is an Airbnb link concerning responsible hosting in India you might like to read:

You could also contact your local Airbnb facebook to speak to other hosts?
Good luck

Hi @Rafay4,
I hope Joelle's answer helped you on your path to become a host!
Have you had a chance to get started with those steps yet? It would be great to know how your project progresses, and if you need more help along the way you know where to find the community. 🙂
Thanks,
Emilie

Rafay, the thing most Pakistani hosts don't know about until it's too late is HotelEye. Government portal, run by PITB, linked to NADRA. The law (Punjab Information of Temporary Residents Act 2015) requires you to log every guest — CNIC, name, address, check-in and check-out — within 24 hours of arrival. Karachi falls under similar Sindh-level directives with the same requirement.
Doing it manually means a separate portal login for every single guest. Some hosts automate it — we built something for exactly this at **
Two other things worth sorting before you go live: check your building society's rules on short-term letting (some in Karachi have started restricting it), and look into whether KMC requires a business registration for your property type.
