what are the legal steps to ensure before listing on airbnb is there any licenses we should obtain ?

As hosts from the world over, the only way to be sure that you are meeting the short term rental laws for your town/country is for you to contact the local authorities yourself.  Never rely on what others might say in this case.  

A search on internet is another good source of information as long as you double check your findings and look at the date the article was published because for a lot of us, the laws are changing fast and are getting more restrictive for owners.

You could also contact your local Airbnb facebook to speak to other hosts?
