What recommendations do you have for someone just starting out on a Tiny House Airbnb? With so many options available to guests, how does one attract clientele?

By carrying out market research to identify what the market is like for a tiny home in the area you want to locate it in @Tatiana1040

who do you see as target guests for your tiny home?

have you looked into footfall

many areas sadly now have oversaturated markets coupled with falling demand.

once you've identified likely demand and what sort of guests are likely to be interested invest in marketing across relevant channels and activities both for direct bookings and through short term rental sites

@Helen3

Thank you!
I’m not sure what footfall is

I will look into to it

Footfall is the number of people in your location looking to stay in a Tiny home . @Tatiana1040

Hi Helen how are you? I did look into footfall but was not sure what it was. LOL

So many new information that's unbelievable! I don't think that people have any idea how it's like to have an Airbnb.

Thank you so much!

You can ask your local tourist board if they have area market reports you can buy.

have you looked at Airdna

ask on your local airbnb host group on FB ?

No problem at all! 😊 I've always been interested by the tiny house movement and have watched countless videos about it online. What sparked your interest in tiny houses, and did you build yours yourself?

Quick tip: Tap '@' and choose the host's username from the dropdown menu to tag them. This way, they'll get a notification and see your message. I’ve tagged Helen in your comment for you 😊

Hey @Quincy sorry for the late response..

I found more affordable to build our own Tinny House (my husband built it all by himself) instead of renting a new property to make an Airbnb

also, I love small spaces so we did it in out backyard..

talking about building in our backyard what is your opinion about it?

thank

Hi @Tatiana1040,

That’s so impressive that your husband built the tiny house himself. Is he quite handy? I’d love to try something similar, but living in a flat in London makes it tricky. Maybe one day if I go off the grid, I’ll have the space to build something in my own backyard too!

Did you build it with the plan of turning it into a rental property for extra income? Also, did you have a chance to have a look at the market reports in your area as @Helen3 mentioned?
