I bought Xfinity battery backup & cellular network auto-failover for my listing. It's a separate wifi router that provides internet access via cellular network if/when Xfinity cable internet is down. (Or a power outage that also brings cable internet down but cellular networks remain up, then there is a 4-hour backup battery).
Should I enable the "pocket wifi" amenity? It seems more of an alternative to wifi than a failover backup.

I think you should turn it on. We have Xfinity Business and Tmobile Home Internet for our Atlanta area rentals, a house and attached apartment, and have both services turned on with one router in each ununit. I chose Xfinity Business because they have a dedicated CS and a quicker return to service commitment. Tmobile Home has been great, and has never had an outage, but Xfinity has them often enough that it's not considered an uncommon occurrence.

Just a follow up. The Xfinity service was down for about 12 hours Saturday night to Sunday morning. There were no storms or power outages, and Comcast gave no explanation for the service interruption. The Tmobile service didn't even have a blip during the same period.
Hi @Jacob805, I'm wondering if you've had a chance to read Debra's suggestion. It seems like a good idea to turn this option on.
