Scheduled messages - how many?

Hello!

I was curious to know how many scheduled messages you all have set up?  I currently have four. One for booking, one for day prior to give directions, one for day of for check-in instructions and the last one is check out as a final thank you. Is this too many? Am I missing something?

I originally had the day prior (directions) and the day of (check-in instructions) in one for day of but I updated it today and thought people would want to prepare their driving trip ahead of time; but I don't want to give them the key code until day of. How do you have yours set up and do you have any suggestions?

Thank you!

@Jennifer3217  Regarding key codes- many hosts do like to send them out day-of, for the reason you state, but as someone who hates last minute stuff when I travel, I would not be okay with check-in info given so late.

As a home share host, I meet guests personally and they get a physical key. But what you can do, which a lot of hosts do, is only program the code to activate at check-in time so guests can't arrive before then and get in early. And using the last four digits of the guest's phone number, rather than random numbers, makes it easy for them to remember.
