Sheets/Hair dryer

Curious what type of sheets everyone using?  I specifically bought bamboo sheets for a guest who said she was a hot sleeper.  According to what I read I thought they would be the most breathable.  Her top reasons for not being able to give us a 5 star review were that the sheets and comforter weren’t cotton. We haven’t been providing a hair dryer because we thought people would prefer to bring their own.  That was the guests’ other complaint was no hair dryer (although it’s marked as a no in amenities)

Thanks for the input.  Looks like we are going to have to go cotton and add a hair dryer.

I would ask to have her review removed. You listed no drier and saying your linens aren’t a specific material isn’t justifiable for leaving a poor review. We just buy sheets in bulk at Sam’s club because we have a large home and we tend to go through them from general wear and tear from constant use and washing and nobody has complained about the material. If you have bamboo sheets I think that’s great and it’s thoughtful- maybe add that in your listing description.

@Julie5416 Have you read the review content policy? It is entirely acceptable to review based on sheet material and missing amenities even if they are not listed. In fact guests and hosts can even lie in their reviews.

Oh jeez, not surprised. I could understand giving someone less stars if the sheets were old, stained or ratty but i would think it would be a suggestion like “I would have preferred cotton” it’s hard to accommodate everyone’s individual material preference. Also silly someone can give less stars for booking a place that they know doesn’t have an amenity and then complaining it doesn’t have it.  Sorry couldn’t help on brand! We do provide a hairdryer - it’s an easy low-cost amenity to provide and check off the list!

I provide only 100% cotton sheets and duvet cover in our Airbnb. Polyester sheets are just plain awful as well as microfibre. I don't use a comforter either as they cannot be laundered between guests., unless of course you are putting on a clean duvet cover between guests. While i would never give a negative review based on the sheet material, I wouldn't love it either. We also provide a hair dryer and it is used very occasionally. If you don't want to provide one and you list that you don't have one, it is not fair to get a negative review because you don't provide one. You should have that review removed.

@Susan5281 Please read the review policy - Rightly or wrongly it is perfectly acceptable to complain about a missing amenity even if it isn't listed!
