Airbnb inbox on phone not working

When I go into my inbox on my phone and press on a message, it turns blank.

Yikes!  That's not good. You might try deleting the app and re-installing it? Are you able to get to your inbox on a computer?

@Nilufer1 Experiencing an issue where messages turn blank in the Airbnb app can be frustrating. Have you tried taking the steps below and see if it'll fix the issue? 

-Ensure that you're using the latest version of the Airbnb app. Developers regularly release updates to fix bugs and improve performance. Check the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices) for any available updates for Airbnb.

-Try restarting your phone. This clears the system's memory and can fix minor glitches.

-Uninstalling and then reinstalling the app can fix many issues as it removes any corrupted data and installs the latest version of the app.

-If the app continues to malfunction, try accessing your Airbnb inbox through a web browser on your phone or a computer.

 

If none of the above steps work, reach out to Airbnb support for help. You can contact them via their website if you're also encountering issues when you try contacting Airbnb via their app. Hope this helps!

We reached out to the tech team for further advice and were suggested the following trouble-shooting steps : 

 

  1. Log out from your browsers.
  2. Close all browser windows/tabs on those devices/browsers.
  3. Open a new window on each affected browser.
  4. Clear cache, cookies, and browser history on browser.
  5. Login with your Email that is associated with your Host account.

@Nilufer1 I went a few weeks unable to message guests via the app on my phone. I put up with it because I am not sure what my password is so didn't want to reload the app. Thankfully, a few weeks later, its started working again. All this proves to me is that computers are the devils work!
