Automated messages on inquiry/request
I'm also using Airbnb as a traveler. I've seen there are automated messages from one of the hosts in response to my inquiry. I think it's very useful. I tried setting up this feature for my listing, but could only find 3 events upon which I can enable Scheduled Messages there: 'Booking confirmed', 'Check-in', 'Checkout'. Does anybody know how to do that?

Go to inbox, click on the three lines, schedule messages and quick replies

Only those three events, not "on request/inquiry"

I don't think this really answered the question as he's looking for an "inquiry" vs a confirmed booking. I am looking for the same thing.

@Lindsay41 Yes, that's right. 'Scheduled' - not 'Quick replies'. I've only seen those automatic responses a couple of times, wondering how they set them up.

There is no Scheduled Message to respond to an inquiry, but you can setup a Quick Reply to answer the most commonly asked questions guests ask, or to ask your own questions if someone sends a Request to Book. Something like:
"Thank you for your interest in our home! What brings you to the area? We're happy to provide local recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area.
We look forward to hearing from you!"
