Avoiding same day changeovers?

Hi, I am into my second year hosting, last year I was definitely learning as I went along and managed to get a lot of bookings that had same day changeovers which my cleaner was not too happy about! 
My “check out “ time is 10am and “ check in “ time is 4pm. Is there a way of managing the calendar so that when guests check out the rest of that day remains blocked ? I have tried blocking out the day people check out as soon as I take the booking but have just had someone who has booked the week ahead of another booking and it has allowed them to check on the day the next person is checking in!

Hope this makes sense to someone!? Any advise greatly appreciated!

@Fran12096  There is no need to manually block dates in order to avoid same day changeovers. That is what the Prep Time setting is for. Set it to 1 night prep time and it will block one night between bookings. 

( Note: The prep time wording is confusing, as it says "Block one night before and after each booking", which makes it sound like it would block 2 consecutive nights, but it doesn't- the "night after" booking A doubles up as the "night before" booking B.)

@Fran12096  I'm not familiar with Ipads, I use the desktop version with Chrome browser. Prep time is found under "Availability" settings at the top of my monthy calendar page.
