Anyone else blocked their calendar but bookings came through. I have done renting for years, I opened up a new space, blocked it on the phone App as house was not going to be ready for guests for a couple of weeks. I got a booking through in the blocked time and had to cancel them (within an hour) and Air BNB took $390 off my other listing’s payout and I haven’t even started to rent the new place !!. They not accept there was a glitch.
@Michelle3315 Unfortunately there are reports about this issue from time to time also in other forums.
Please, never cancel by yourself in such a case - better contact the support, explain them the issue, so they can cancel.
The problem with that is the guest. Better to cancel so the guest can move on. Otherwise the guest will think they are booked.
You can inform the guest and maybe they will cancel, maybe not.
They can see that his happened.

What I was told is to turn instabook off. Which I did. But it is known that blocked dates can be booked with instabook on ... this glitch was acknowledged when I spoke with Airbnb.
