Adding Amenities currently sucks since the latest version where each amenity has its own JS-enabled saving endpoint.
Most times it unsaves what you just added. So u have to readd the same amenity over and over again since it does not take the first time.
Please fix it or if possible allow to copy amenities from one listing to another or an even better solution would be to bulk add amenities on selected listings.
I am spending hours just to add amenities alone to rooms in the same home since each has to be added multiple times before it can save in your system causing a lot of frustration and stress.
I have encountered this error on multiple accounts and multiple browsers in incognito or otherwise
Yes...this started happening after the Summer Release in May. I reported it to Airbnb and was told "it's working correctly" - it's not. Numerous Hosts have reported this problem and nothing has been done.
Notify Airbnb what is happening - the more Hosts that complain the more there is the possibility it will be corrected.
In the mean time, update your amenities using the App, it is working correctly.
Perhaps one of the moderators can forward this to the correct Team at Airbnb? It is a bug on the desktop version.
Good to know @Joan2709 @Glendale-Holidays0
I'm usually excited about adopting any new release that Airbnb throw our way but boy am I glad I didn't go for this new release - it is SOO full of bugs. Maybe Airbnb have decided to do away with their engineers too and have left it to AI to configure - might explain a few things😉
Yes...AI is a great tool when used judiciously and correctly - neither seems to be the case with Airbnb's use of AI in many areas.
Sadly, the ones who are trying to tell them there is an issue, are ignored or told "there is no problem, it's working correctly". Reminds me of the "Emperor's New Clothes" Fable in some ways 😁.
This is similar to the Today Landing Page with the new software. I tried to tell Airbnb that leaving "Follow-Ups" cluttering up the page for 14days, even after the Host has written a review is a problem. Imagine a Host with 20 listings? They will have pages and pages of follow-ups and not know which need attention and which have already been completed? Once the Host completes the review, the follow-up should be removed immediately - it isn't.
Another Example - The Host Action section (part of the new release) blocks the Insight and Earnings Tabs of the menu. The Host completes the required actions, yet Airbnb doesn't remove the Host Action requirement and they are unable to access their Earnings and Insights tab.
@Joan2709
Totally agree with you as usual and so disappointed that our insights seem to not count for much anymore.
We have someone on the French CC saying the same thing - that although they have reviewed and even left a public reply to a guest, they are still getting that "Follow-up" pop up! I understand the situation better now as I don't have that on my Today page as I didn't update 🙏 but it's crazy to do that and those with multiple listings must be tearing their hair out not knowing which action has been completed and what still needs to be done!! Which bright bean thought of that and if it's a problem for hosts, why isn't it being removed? I thought the whole idea of opting in early was for hosts to be able to give their feedback so that the next version would be better not worse for hosts??😤
Sigh...
I love the comment about "which bright bean thought of that" 🤣
One wonders if Airbnb even consults Hosts as to whether a change will work for the actual end-user - their internal customer the Host! 😠
If their goal is to be profitable, they are making it so Hosts are forced to do things they don't want that affect profitability. Like being forced to turn OFF Instant Book because they are not removing retaliatory reviews in accordance with their own written policies. Airbnb knows that Instant Book makes a guest more likely to book (and hence they get their service fee), but they are forcing Hosts to turn it OFF with the current environment.
Their decision to turn over Review Disputes totally to AI will have a negative, domino effect on profitability (IMHO).
Well if they DO consult hosts before making changes, I would love to be one of those - you too I imagine?? Is this where the HAB hosts come in do you think?
It feels more and more like the CC is becoming the back office to customer support and the hosts do it for free too - win win for Airbnb I would say🤣
