Can a host cancel current calendar year?

If I don't feel comfortable being a host for the current year due to COVID-19, will I lose SUperhost status?

Hi Maria

Due to covid-19 issue this year all SuperHost program suspended. So, you don't have to worry just maintain as usual. Hope soon everything will become normal.

@Md-Mizanur1  Where did you get that information? I've read nothing of the Superhost program being suspended. They did extend the waiving of the # of stays and the zero cancellation criteria for July, but there is nothing to say that will be extended any further.

If you have a link to where you read this, please post it here.

@Maria2749  As far as I'm aware, yes we could lose Superhost status if they don't continue to waive those requirements until long after the COVID threat has passed. Since number of stays is based on the previous 365 days at each quarter, if we haven't been able to host from March through Dec, we wouldn't be eligible for Superhost until we opened up for bookings and managed to get at least 10 stays.

But our safety and health is far more important than some stupid badge, IMO.
