I just started renting out my house on Airbnb, I don’t really understand the cleaning fee, is it added automatically when people reserve my house? Or is it something that I can add or they can choose to add. Should I have a cleaning fee? Or should I just not have one and include that in the starting price. Any help is welcome! Thank you!

You add a cleaning fee to your Calendar under Pricing. Airbnb automatically adds the fee when a guest books a reservation.

Hi @Selina192
if you set a cleaning fee, it’s automatically added to their total cost when they book.
If you’re just starting and want more bookings, consider keeping your cleaning fee low or even at $0 for now, then adjust later. If you clean it yourself, you might not need a cleaning fee yet.
Check similar listings in your area what are they charging for cleaning? Match or slightly undercut to stay competitive.
Best Regards and Happy Hosting!
