Cleaning fees

What is a fair amount to ask for cleaning fees in a studio, one bedroom and two bedroom. !'ve been doing it for 10 years but with increasing in cleaning material, there s very little margin in it. Just looking for more ideas. Thanks

@Johan2252 You have two choices with pricing

1) Cost plus methodology where you take all costs and an an acceptable profit margin or

2) Market driven where you see what competitors are charging and then take off your costs to see if it is worthwhile being in business.

So if I were you I would check what others are charging and then see if you can still make money BUT

Many hosts do not charge a full cleaning fee but rather put some (or all) of it into the per night charge. We only charged laundry in our cleaning fee and the rest went into the per night fee.

Hope this helps

Hello @Johan2252

A great question, the right pricing can be quite tricky to decide on sometimes! In addition to Mike's suggestion, I wanted to share a related discussion, and a Help Center article, which dive into this topic:

👉 Cleaning fee

👉 How to set a cleaning fee

I hope this is all useful, but please do come back and let us know how you get on! 😊
