Co Host

Co Host

I think that I am overthinking my situation. I invited my husband to be a co host so that he could get in and look at my calendar.

He got the invite and followed the instructions and has been verified.  My question is, will he have his own sign on for my listing or does he use my password and sign on?

I haven't heard anything from AirBNB regarding the status of my co host request.  Does it take a while for them to get back with me?

Thanks is advance for any help you can give.

Hello @Lynn2173 ,

I am not sure what process you followed but let me share what I did to add my co-host, which did not require Airbnb’s approval.

Airbnb does have a co-host program but in my opinion it is designed for situations where the host and co-host do not know each other, and I feel that is probably not relevant to your case.

What I did was ask the person I wanted to manage the property with me to create a simple Airbnb account. All she needed was an email address and a password.

Her Airbnb account is completely separate from mine.

Then, in my listing, I added her as a co-host for that specific listing using the same email address she used to create her account. Airbnb sent her an invitation to join and that was it.

Her account was not a co-host account. It was a simple Airbnb user account that I assigned as co-host for my property. If you have more than one listing you will need to repeat this process for each one.

I hope this provides a simple answer that you can follow.

Hello @Lynn2173, have you had the chance to read Guy's comment? Would you like to share a bit more about how you sent this request to Airbnb? Here is an article that explains the process of adding a co-host, which usually does not require Airbnb approval: Add co-hosts to your home listing.

Keep us posted.
