Disclosing Host Address

Disclosing Host Address

Yes, hosts are complaining!

Airbnb says the policy change will help guests plan their trip. Seems like a weak reason. None of my guests has ever complained about not getting the exact address upon booking.
Would like to better understand the reasoning behind the change. Hosts who agree with me, please ask Airbnb for more transparency.

An update to your location sharing settings

Starting March 9, 2026, guests will be able to view your listing address and contact information as soon as their reservation is confirmed.

This change can help guests plan their trip and may reduce check-in questions for you. Only guests with confirmed reservations will be able to access this information.

The option to hide these details until the free cancellation period ends will no longer be available.

@Emily2681 As a guest I hate the fact that some hosts (not all Airbnb) only reveal the exact location on the day of arrival. This gives no ability to plan how to get there and is particularly bad when flying in to a foreign country where the internet may not work on my phone.
