Does anyone know how I can add a discount for 2 night stay
Thank you for your message. I don't have that option, apparently it was removed but wondered if there was another way to do it
Not sure why you want to discount a two night stay but you can create a special offer. Just remember the special offer has to include all fees @Rachel3406
Thank you for the help. We're having a lot of 1 night bookings so don't want to have to turn them down for a 2 night minimum setting but want to encourage more than 1 night stays.
The easiest way to encourage guests to book longer, while still allowing one-night stays, is to lower your nightly rate and add a substantial cleaning fee.
Guests cannot see the split between the two charges, they only see the total.
Because the cleaning fee is per booking (not per night), it automatically spreads out over longer stays.
You can set different combinations of nightly rate and cleaning fee until you're happy that the total cost works out the way you want for short vs long stays.
Hi
Is there any other way on AirBnB to discount 2+ night stays please?
The cleaning charge works financially but incentivieses guests to disrespect the accommodation as they have 'paid for the cleaning up, dealing with rubbish etc
With over 40% of booking being 1 nights, setting a higher rate is fine, apart from those guests who do want 2 to 6 nights generally leave lower 'value for money' feedback than the single night and one week+ guests
AirBnBhas a facility for discounts on bookings over 1 week and over 1 month
Most of a hosts costs are associated with cleaning, which is normally ones per booking, so why doesnt AirBnB have a 'more than 1 night' discount in addition to the week and month discounts?
Thanks

You can use the Trip Length discount in the Discounts tab to set a custom trip length discount @G86
Personally I prefer the smoothing out effect of the cleaning fee, because it works proportionally for any length of stay. But in my case I don't think I have the issue of guests clicking all the way through to see the detail line item of the cleaning fee and then doing less cleaning themselves. If this is a pattern for you, you can set the trip length discount instead.
Thank you for your very prompt answer
Yes, that is very true the price impact of the cleaning fee is ideal. Its the terminology that is problematic. Its not guest friendly imho, I woudl prefer it to be included in the 1 night base cost and titled 'multi night discount' for bookings of 2 to 7 nights (8 nights is fine because the AirBnB discount then gets applied)
I cant find that 'Trip Length discount' option?
In the 'Listing Editor, Discounts' page I can see:
weekly (for 7 nights or more)
monthly (for 28 nights or more)
find more discounts and fees in the calendar (hyperlink to calendar page)
the calendar page pricing section shows
base price
custom weekend price
smart pricing (radio button on/off)
fees (cleaning, pets, additional guests)
Thank you for your help with this @Shelley159 Shellyer159
Ah-ha
The app is very clearly different to the web
I'll see if I can load the app and hopefully reveal the absent 'Trip length' from my web-site Discounts tab
Thank you for your help & copy of your screen @Shelley159 , very much appreciatedCalendar | Discounts
