Does anyone have an "EARLY BIRD" discount set up on their property? Just curious Thanks
@Shannon957 I do. Book x2 months in advance and get a discount. It definitely takes away a bit of stress for the forecast. I've only been open x2 months and been full the whole time. And got booking a couple months ahead.
I also give a last minute discount for those odd days I have open.
Hi @Shannon957 , I have a 3 bedroom 3 bath house with hot tub on sunset side of house. I’m new in airbnb and not sure what ‘ early bird ‘ means but I’ll say yes and honor my commitment.
Can you please explain what it means and I might be able to do even better….
Oh yeah, it’s located in beautiful Taos New Mexico
sits on a 1-1/2 acre fenced gated property, very private
quiet and peaceful .
Hi @Shannon957
We don't use them as they will "stack" on top of other discounts (weekly, monthly) and provide a more discounted rate that we don't want to give guests who's reservation is for a week or month. I believe both Early Bird and Last Minute Discounts will stack on top of a custom promotion as well.
We prefer to use Pro Tools and Rule Sets and apply discounts that way instead of using Airbnb's default Early Bird and Last Minute Discounts (or use a Custom Promotion).
Not yet if you suggest witch will be the best offer as early bird would be appreciated
10 pc
Not using it for now
No
@Shannon957 Be wary of using an early bird discount if you have a Flexible cancellation policy. It will encourage people to book early with you and cancel close to the reservation if they find something cheaper. It only really makes sense with a Strict cancellation policy.
Hi @Shannon957. We currently do not offer an early bird discount. However, we may look into it.
thank you-
Hi
I understand why restaurants have them to fill quiet periods. But our quiet periods are due to seasonality, normally.
So, to me, it doesn't make sense to offer cheaper prices during our peak periods just because someone books early.
I prefer to adjust my prices myself manually rathe than offering a blanket discount.
