Hi, I am a new host and have my first month-long stay. I am located in Washington State, and it is my RV Glamping unit that I offer on Airbnb. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1501545334377748675
My question is this - should I ask the guest to sign any further waivers or short-term contracts or treat it just as any other stay? I am not terribly worried because it is not my home they are staying in, and I am onsite full time.
Any feedback is appreciated!
Dawn

Hi @Dawn1227 Congratulations on your first extended stay. While every host's situation is different, I generally treat month-long reservations with a bit more care than shorter bookings, especially because local laws can sometimes change once a guest stays beyond certain time thresholds. Since you're in Washington State and offering an RV glamping accommodation rather than a shared home, it may be worth checking whether any local tenancy or occupancy regulations apply to stays of that length. Airbnb's reservation terms provide a good foundation, but some hosts choose to use additional house rules acknowledgements or waivers when amenities, outdoor activities, fire pits, RV systems, or other unique features are involved. Personally, I would focus on three things that is making sure all house rules are clearly documented in the Airbnb listing and reiterated before check-in, verifying that your insurance coverage aligns with longer stays, also familiarize yourself with any local regulations regarding extended occupancy, just so there are no surprises. Since you're onsite full-time, you also have the advantage of being able to address questions or concerns quickly if they arise. Your RV setup looks lovely, and it sounds like you've already thought carefully about guest safety. Wishing you a smooth and successful first long-term booking.
Best of luck,
Lazmee
