It works well for me. there is a glitch though. If you set the check in instructions to send for example four days prior to guest's arrival and you receive a booking only 3 days prior to booking, the automated messages do not go out to the new guests.
There should be an option that says send 4 days prior and if less than 4 days, send upon booking or something like it. As it is, it's very rudimentary, but works fine.
I especially like it for how are you settling in message the day after check in and check out message the day before check out.

I haven't had problems with it yet, this will be my first guest, she was out of state and will arrive 8pm, she wanted me to text her the information before she boards her flight because she thinks she will not receive messages when in flight. That's the reason I wanted to know if the messaging system is prompt.

@Nur785 That sounds like a great idea, though the devs would need to work on a way to not have the message sent continuously in the 4 days before the booking! Either way, you can send your idea to Airbnb directly using the Feedback Form. 😃
