Hello!
I am trying to update my Guidebook by deleting a few restaurants that are no longer in business. It seems I can only add locations, but can't delete them. Does anyone know how to remove things from your guidebook?
Sad!
Only these pages/options on Samsung phone. Any help from an android user would be great
Hey @Angie579 👋
You got so much support here from some of our wonderful Hosts and I wondered if any of the suggestions supported you in making changes to your guidebook?
It would be great to hear how you got on. 😊
@Rebecca, no.
I haven't got a computer/laptop, are old closed down restaurants stuck on my recommendations permanently now? Any help on how to remove restaurants on my "guidebook" via the phone app would be appreciated
I'm sorry to hear this is still not resolved! Were you able to check that both your phone and the app are fully up to date?
If they are and you are still unable to update your guidebook following other Hosts' suggestions, I would recommend reaching out to customer support so they can look into it further with you. 🙂
I'm on Android app and can't seem to work it out either...clearly not intuitive
I'm on Android and don't see any way to delete a restaurant either. Hopefully in a future update.
Hi, I ended up here as I've had the same issue (also Android). Sadly I haven't worked out how to delete a listing but I think I have a work around:
1. Rename your category with the out of date listing via the pen symbol next to the category name on the main page. It will only be there for five minutes so something such as 'old restaurants' is fine
2. Open one of the restaurant listings you want to keep and create a new category. You can call this the same as you previously had e.g. restaurants, as you'll keep this category going forward
3. Open each listing that you want to keep and recategorise each as the new category you created in step 2. Don't forget to save as you go!
4. Eventually you'll be left with just the out of date listings in the category you re-named in step 1 and can just delete this category via the pen symbol.
It's a bit clumsy - and a delete button would be much better - but does allow you to get rid of listings you no longer want.
I am having this problem also on Android.
Hi @Melissa234,
Have you tried using a computer, or the browser on your phone instead of the app, as other hosts suggested in previous comments?
Let us know if it helps 🙂
Thanks,
Emilie

I tried creating a new group called delete and changing them to that category, then deleting the category. That worked.
Thanks
Melissa
I'm glad it is sorted @Melissa234, and thank you for sharing your solution with us as well! I'm sure it will be useful to other hosts running into a similar issue in the future. 💡
