Yesterday we had the most frustrating experience on Airbnb, we had request for reservation in the morning, and we accepted it and sent invite for reservation, and clicked on hold the dates for 24h option (inquiry was for 5 days).
And after that we had new request for one night within the same dates - and that disabled the first guest's option to make reservation within a time frame...
We had to deny second request, and open the dates to make it available for first request. And after we had another 8 requests for the same dates...
If we closed the dates - it would also be closed for first request reservation.
Airbnb support was of no help at all for this, they didn't answer any of our questions regarding why option is broken, at the end they concluded that everything went well because first guest managed to make reservation at the end - it doesn't bother them that we had to deny 9 requests in the meantime...
