3) create a listing
4) calculate all costs and see if it will make money

@Laura5598 Slightly expanding on "Create a listing" - When a listing goes live, there's a brief period of time (maybe a few weeks) where it gets promoted more heavily in search results. That's the crucial window of time to capture the first few short bookings and build the base of great reviews that you'll need to stay competitive. So it's important that you come out of the gate with thorough written descriptions, high quality photos with captions, and a carefully considered inventory of amenities and features.
You have a lot of experience as a guest, so you can look back to the listings of your favorite stays for inspiration.
