Looking at hosting our property but not sure where to start

1) check it is legal to host

2) consider joining a local Airbnb Facebook group for local advice

3) create a listing

4) calculate all costs and see if it will make money

5) come back for more advice as needed

@Mike-And-Jane0  Well-put, though I think I'd switch the positions of 3 and 4!

@Laura5598  Slightly expanding on "Create a listing" - When a listing goes live, there's a brief period of time (maybe a few weeks) where it gets promoted more heavily in search results. That's the crucial window of time to capture the first few short bookings and build the base of great reviews that you'll need to stay competitive. So it's important that you come out of the gate with thorough written descriptions, high quality photos with captions, and a carefully considered inventory of amenities and features. 

You have a lot of experience as a guest, so you can look back to the listings of your favorite stays for inspiration.

Hi @Laura5598 We all started at ground zero. 
I started in March and before I even put my listing up, I read everything on this platform first. There’s tons of resources here.
