Hi I would potentially like to rent out my property using Airbnb. I want to know what other homeowners think of Airbnb as a service. As opposed to using private agencies.
Hi @Jared412 😊
Welcome to the community, and thank you for bringing up this topic here!
I’d like to mention our experienced Hosts, who will be able to share the benefits of using Airbnb with you: @Guy991, @Robin4, @Andrea6232, @Dr-Jayanthi1, @Marie8425 and @Zheng49.
Thank you in advance everyone! 😍

Great day @Elisa and @Jared412 - I have remained to stay put only with Airbnb and I am quite pleased the way it keeps business going. Hosting can be a passion but money is imperative as well. As a Community Leader I do get to interact and get feedback on other platforms that enables STR income. It’s great to know that Airbnb does not stop hosts from onboarding other platforms. My host club has members who are active with other companies- but the satisfaction check list is often high with Airbnb with regards to pricing strategies, cancellation policies, pay outs, customer support and handholding hosts through a community approach. I had a recent survey with my host club where 100 % (however the number of volunteers who took it up were limited- that’s a challenge to crack through as a community leader and I constantly work on it) responded to advice friends and family take up Airbnb as compared to other platforms.
Eventually I am a host happy to stay put with Airbnb. However the world is open to exploring. Happy Hosting 🤩! Best wishes Your Way 👍
I was with Airbnb in Hawaii and that past few years in Arizona. I used multiple platforms in Hawaii you don't have a lot of scammers too expensive to get there haha. My first year in Arizona because I cater to my market of longer work stays. I got a quick awaking to scam guests lol. For me I decided not to continue private STR but only use Airbnb. Not all my private were bad and I did require a security deposit I just felt more work sometimes. Doing things like using the mailbox or laundry every day. I don't use a property manager because I like to set the rules and make the decisions, Airbnb like any platform has scammers. I do think in most cases I am able to identify before they stay with me. Not perfect yet but I do believe when used properly for me Airbnb has been the best option and does keep my rooms full
@Marie8425 - I am in line with you and accept the details provided on Airbnb and hosting 👍
Ciao @Jared412 , I started renting my house in Venice about two years ago and until now I have used only Airbnb, which proves to be effective especially if you know how to use it best 😉

@Andrea6232 I completely agree with you, top reviews are very important!
Do you have any good practices on how to provide the best possible experience to share here? 😊

@Elisa probably the most important thing is to have excellent communication with guests, then maximum availability in everything 😉
@Andrea6232 @Marie8425 @Elisa @Dr-Jayanthi1

All your comments are really helpful, and it seems you are generally quite happy with Airbnb. I think in time I will list my property on here. Any other tips to get more happy customers is appreciated.
