Have a unique building. Old beach house where we live with modern attached 2 storey units. Having difficulty finding Insurance to cover structure and contents. Most common Insurers will not cover the entire building when 2 units used for short stay most of year. Any suggestions. Have ruled out Woolworths, Alliance, AAMI.
@Jay1693 hey there from your neighbour in SA! We had SO much trouble getting insurance for our farm and STR, our broker found us one (and only one) policy to choose from that would suit us. It's pricey though, we pay in total $10K/year for farm insurance, it's actually 2 different policies: 6 buildings, fencings, and STR insurance. If it helps our insurance is with Gallaghers.
Thanks Gillian Have a broker quote for a policy with CGU but the broker fee is 30% trailing commission each year. Our needs are more basic, so still looking.
