My rating reached 4.75 and it’s no longer increasing! Guests are leaving five stars, but the overall rating doesn’t go up.

Hi @Tayeb14
The more reviews you have, the longer it takes to see an increase in the average (because the average is already calculated over many reviews).
If you want to see when it will increase again, you can look at the ratings of all 61 reviews on your listing and do the calculation to see how many more 5-star reviews it will take to increase the average.
Thankou Shelley
In the Airbnb Review world 4 star reviews are a negative. You have multiple 4 star and 1 3 star fixable but work required.
None of your individual Review Scores for like cleanliness or accuracy are a 5 star. Address those issues because even if a Guest gives a 5 star overall rating but can on cleanliness choose a 4 star that effects your rating. Airbnb measures both ratings because what your reviews display Guests think you are wonderful so 5 stars but maybe the bathroom wasn't as clean as expected so 4 stars on cleanliness. Dings on Location, Accuracy and Value are just tweak your ad something wasn't bad but not as expected. Just some confusion.
thankyou Marie
@Marie8425 Please forgive being so late to the party, but I have a similar concern. We host on both Airbnb and Booking.com (different properties and markets). It seems to me that what's wrong here is the way ABB measures the rating i.e the total history of your hosting. Many of us are not professional hosts, nor do we have a fabulous property in some amazing place. However, with a lot of effort, we have improved along the way. This should be reflected in the published rating. I would suggest that a better way to rate a host is over, say, the last 12 months (or perhaps x number of lettings. This is what, after many complaints, Booking has done, and as hosts, we feel much more motivated.
@Katerina508 you're right that all ratings count equally in weight towards the overall Airbnb rating.
Airbnb does, however, also have the guest favourite ranking for each listing (that Booking.com doesn't have), which is much more sensitive to recent guest experiences in the overall rating and in the subcategories.
This is the one that focuses more on recent results.
First of all thank you for your kind thoughts. I don't disagree with any of your comments in general terms. My point (maybe even a suggestion) is that there are alternative ways to do this.
When you study you have continuous assesment. When you are employed you're reviewed annually and improvements are taken into consideration. But this process is not reflected in the BnB way of rating. Never mind we will soldier in. Have fun everyone.
My listings are rooms in Arizona not located in a scenic destination haha. So 4 years I think 60 Reviews. I don't use other platforms my 60 stays each stay is 30 to 90 days.
That is not an Airbnb responsibility as the Host with limited different Airbnb Guests that is my business so I do have to insure I don't get negatives. I am not perfect I have my share an angry Guest about being caught in their mistake suddenly my home is a pigsty, but I don't generrally get something other than a 5 so I think righr now 2 nasties recently my Overall Review Score is 4.86. The rental is my business, I am responsible for it's reviews.

Hi @Tayeb14,
Great to have you on the community!
It's lovely to see that Marie and Shelley's advice has already helped you understand the reviews system better. Are you thinking to make any tweaks based on their suggestions, to give yourself the best chance of hitting the perfect 5 star score even more often?
Have a lovely day 😊
Emilie
