I can't add anything to the guidebook

Hi, the "guidebook" section doesn't work for me. Whenever I want to add a place I get a map opening up where I should search the place. I search it but and find it in the search bar, but on the map itself stays grey with the text "Search for a place by name or address". Nothing happens and no where to click - except "cancel"...

Any advice?
