In Review for more than a week

Hi, I’ve listed my property more than a week ago it says my account needs to be confirmed and my property is in review. I haven’t received any email or text message to confirm my account. There seems to be no call centre number in South-Africa.

 

I would really appreciate so assistance.

I know how frustrating that wait can feel when a listing stays “in review” for several days, it usually means Airbnb is still waiting for part of the identity or account verification to be completed.

A few things you can check on your side:

1. Go to Menu → Account → Personal info → Identity verification
See if anything is still marked as “pending” — sometimes you need to re-upload your ID or do a quick selfie verification.

2. Check your payout method
Go to Menu → Payments & payouts → Payout methods
If your payout method isn’t verified, Airbnb won’t activate the listing.

3. Try opening your listing on the Airbnb app
Sometimes the app shows a clearer message about what’s missing (e.g., “Action needed to publish”).

4. Contact Airbnb Support through the Help Centre
Since South Africa doesn’t have phone support, try:
Menu → Help → Contact us → Listing in review / account verification

They can manually push the verification through if something is stuck.

Most of the time, once the missing verification is completed, the listing goes live within a few hours.
