Was curious about input on my listing. I am new here. I've only been doing this for three months now.
If I missed anything to bring people in I'm in the Joshua tree California it's Desert Willow retreats oh. I'm thinking about changing the beds set up to having a king queen and two fulls .. I think my description could be better. Nice meeting all of you.
Hey there @Ed419
How have you found your first few months hosting?
I've popped your listing link into your post and I'll also ask some of our Community's lovely Hosts to stop by and offer any advice they may have about it as well 😊

Hi @Ed419 ,
Looks like your listing is doing quite well!
A couple of suggestions:
Hope these suggestions help.
I kinda like it talking to the guest is kinda neat and Jason gave a few suggestions what sound good? Going to try them? Thanks for puking link in there Ed
Ed, take your time when replying to us hosts, as if you were talking to a guest, and make sure your grammar and spelling are checked over. Guests can be snobby so just trying to help!
@Ed419 I added your place as one of my favorites. Sometimes that helps with the algorithm from what I've been told. Are you saying your sofa is a place for one to sleep in the living room? Maybe have a photo of it made up for sleeping purposes if so (I just had this idea and need to do this myself when my place is not booked). Also, your cowboy pool-perhaps a few pool only photos maybe even with a couple of folks in there enjoying themselves with an over the shoulder shot (so from behind them but it shows there is enough room for two folks) and talk about how the chemicals are maintained and the water is moving with a pump so the guests know it is a sanitary situation. I am not sure that there is a pump but it kinda looked like it from your nighttime photo of the pool. You can add descriptions of the pics underneath each photo if you scroll down a hair. Hope this helps!
Hi @Ed419
Joshua Tree is a great spot, many go to reconnect with nature, enjoy the serenity, nature, hikes, photography, etc, and of course, wild times at Coachella!
Definitely add 2 doubles vs. a queen, as it broadens your market.
Noticed your decor is quite ecclectic, which the vibe of the area…if you really want to focus on the Mish mash vibe aka eclectic….you need to be more ecclectic…paint a wall or two, add more of grandma’s old stuff…this would Attract more locals…vs. folks who do not know the area…
One of the most amazing things to do in this area, is star gaze…and sit outside at night enjoying the dry heat. Would focus a bit more attention outside, is there seating for 6? Do you offer BBQ? How about solar string lights outside on the gazebo? Bean toss… Unless of course, you are in one of the wind zones.
You have a great opportunity to furnish with deals from all the local thrift stores in the area;…shouldn’t be too costly attain more items, and now is the time as all the folks are back living FT in the area, thrift stores should be loaded with goodies.
FYI,..,if your goal is retreat…add photos that speak to the “ retreat vibe” calming colored furniture, white or tan, yoga mats, plants, chimes, salt water plunge ….
Good luck to you.
