You just go into the edit function on your listing to make the changes you describe @Steve4185

Do have a look at the Airbnb Help website it has FAQs around most aspects of managing your STR listing on Airbnb

Hi @Steve4185

Welcome!

You will find as a new Host you'll be spending ALOT of time reading Airbnb Help Articles on every imaginable topic as @Helen3 advised. That is a great first stop to obtain answers and good-to-know information. Many of the articles take you directly to your Listing Page Sections that are referred to in the article:

Help Center

- Just click your profile photo top right of main page

- Scroll down click Help Center

- Type in a topic in the Search bar

Come back here any time with additional questions or for advice after reading as much as you can about the topic on Airbnb. We're happy to help. Below are a few links for New Hosts you might want to take a look at:

@Steve4185 Once you figure out how to edit your listings you need to add check in and check out time ranges. Also I hope you have figured out how to link the listings together so you don't get double bookings. Finally I would switch on pro tools in your account as it gets you a better calendar for those with multiple listings.

Thank you for your response and your concern.

One of the things that I'm having a problem with is the editing. I'm finding things out independently without any ordinary sense of how to edit the pages. If I change something in one of the listings, it changes it in others and not on others. I discovered that at the top of the calendar page, there's a little button that you can click, and you can click on which listing you're doing the work for.  The hardest thing I've been doing is finding out how to edit the pages. I edit copy, I edit podcasts, I edit websites. I have never found anything so complicated. Edit rules do not seem to flow from one platform to another.  I want to do it using past learning.

I have figured out that I have to be re-educated all over again in this new platform. I do live A busy life, so it's going to take me some time.

Hi @Steve4185

I also notice that you don't have many amenities listed including hot water & heating on the bedroom listings. Many folks won't want book your place in Maine in the winter if they think there is no hot water or heat 😊. Go thru every section of the listing and don't leave anything blank. I would definitely add a smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector to your amenities list:

Here is another article with suggestions on what to do after you publish your listing. Critical to add your House Rules, Cancellation Policy, Guest Safety & Property Info and whether you want Instant Book on or not, etc. Airbnb automatically defaults certain settings unless you change them after listing. I would also go to your Calendar under pricing and be sure you have set a cleaning fee and Pet Fee if you allow pets. You need to edit the number of pets you allow under House Rules/Pets Allowed/Edit Number of Pets. Airbnb automatically defaults that to 5 Pets; most Hosts only allow a maximum of 2 per stay.

@Steve4185

Did you just publish your listings? I did a search for Bowdoin, ME and your listings did not appear. Sometimes it takes 48-72 hours to appear on the platform. Some sections of the listings are not available to edit until you actually publish the listing.

Since it looks like you are trying to have 3 separate listings (Whole apartment, Bedroom & Bedroom 2), it's important that the calendars be linked properly as @Mike-And-Jane0 mention and each listing info is correct. Once the listing is actually published, I would definitely turn OFF instant book on all 3 listings right away to avoid double bookings.

There are 2 different formats for calendars on Airbnb; regular calendar and multicalendar. The multicalend is the easiest way to keep track of multiple listings. If you just type: airbnb/com/multicalendar into your browser, it should show you the option for Pro Tools which will give you access to the multicalendar. Here is a Guide on how to do that with Screen Shots.
