Hi @Ernest831 😊

Thank you for asking this in the Community Center!

I'm sorry you are experiencing a low booking rate.

When did you start experiencing that and where are you hosting from?

I also noticed a big drop in bookings over past 6 weeks in Ireland

Yes, very low from ABNB yet I’m getting more bookings from B.Com 🤷‍♀️

I have had less bookings from Airbnb but have had an unusual increase from VRBO?!?!?  Not sure why!!!!

Sorry to hear that. We are struggling this year in Virginia but there have been a number of potential causes. Year over year our marker seems to be down about 30% as a whole.

Not that I've noticed. Booked until end of August. If you feel that's the case, Ernest, try sprucing UP your Listing... add some photos, take away any photos which aren't necessary.. and play around with the verbiage in your Listing description. It helps. Also, if you are not receiving bookings from ABNB's website, you might want to try copying and pasting your listing onto other sites such as local Town Facebook Pages, etc. Best of luck, Andrea, Greenwich, CT U.S.A.

I'm in the UK and fully booked through to mid September. At the start of the year I was very light on bookings, so I listed on booking.com as well, which seemed to help with occupancy rates. Maintaining a high quality and providing a welcome hamper of groceries has helped and something which I know previous guests have missed in other properties

Absolutely. Partly due to economic downturn, I think.

Also some visitors from abroad have cancelled due to ... some unfriendliness our country (US) has projected.

I think Airbnb's exorbitant fees that guests pay are also part of the problem.

As is the fact that guests pay when they book, but hosts don't get the money until the guest stays. Guests and hosts do not have access to those funds in the meantime.... But Airbnb does.

Overall, bookings have been consistent for my properties as what I’ve seen in prior years.  I do think maybe we’ve had more VRBO bookings filling things in.  Sorry to hear your bookings have dipped!
