My Airbnb unit shares a laundry room with one other rental unit (which I rent out long-term). I cover all utilities costs so do not charge my Airbnb guests separately for laundry and do not have coin-operated machines.

@Sian696 I have no issues with water (I have a well) and electricity ( I have solar panels) so I don't charge for laundry

Currently you have no washer and dryer.  None of your reveiwers complained.  Do you have a need to offer?  If potential Guests are ashing me for something I can provide, usually I just get an agreement that I will provide xx for an additional to nightly cost of $x.x.  Eliminates I am counting and then billing an extra charge in the Resolution Center that can not guarantee payment.  I like my money decision paid.  If a laudromat is close you can offer that option.  It really depends how long the stay anf for an activety that laundry would be a plus.  You have to figure utilities but you also need to calculate risk of not being used correctly or age of machines are the machines able to be used additilonally.

If there is laundry in the unit it should be included in the price.  If you are personally doing laundry for guests, you can charge a flat fee based on what a local laundromat would charge.

I am fortunate and that I have a cleaning woman who goes in. And when a guest leaves, it's my cleaning woman, who takes all the laundry, including bed, spreads to the laundry mat. She tells me how much all that is.And I venmo heard the money. She then picks it up and takes it back to the house. And are there makes the beds up, or puts it in the laundry closet. It is part of our arrangement and I pay her for an hour of work in her travels since it is right next to her house.

I don't charge for laundry. I have a standard washer and dryer in my home, and it's free for guests to use at will.

I don't encourage dryer use especially if you are on fossil fuel power. Provide a drying rack. I don't charge. The client does it himself

Hi Sian,

You should charge a fair rate and include that in the cleaning fee.  Talk to your housekeeping team, if you have one, to get an estimate on how much they charge.  If you are doing your own cleaning and laundry, it is up to you what you want to charge.  Maybe call around and see what the going rate is in your area.
