Listing Advice

Good day everyone

First time hoster here

Would someone be so kind as to look at my listing and just scan it for any errors or maybe improvements?

Hi @Ilze-May0

Thanks for sharing your listing with the community – Stripes & Sunsets has a really special setting and a great concept as a modern bush retreat by Kruger.

I love how you highlight the wildlife in Marloth Park and the idea of having a comfortable “home away from home” while still being close to nature.

A few friendly ideas that could help you optimise it even more:

  1. Consider making the title a bit more benefit‑oriented, for example mentioning Kruger, wildlife and the modern comfort in one line, so guests immediately see what’s unique about your place.
  2. In the first lines of the description, you could add 1–2 concrete experiences (like enjoying sunsets from the patio, having breakfast with bush views, or watching animals pass by) to help guests visualise their stay.
  3. Make sure your photo order tells a clear story: outside and bush views, then living area, bedrooms, bathrooms and outdoor/braai area, with bright and tidy images that show both comfort and nature.
  4. A short section on wildlife and safety (how to behave around animals, noise, waste, respect for neighbours) can reassure guests and show you care about the community and local environment.

If available, it may help to highlight things like Wi‑Fi quality, backup power, air conditioning and distance to the nearest Kruger gate and main services, as many guests compare listings on these details.

Feel free to update us on how things go after these tweaks – I’d be curious to hear if they bring you more views and bookings!
Cheers.

Took a quick look...

Missing Amenities

Airbnb says you don't have Essentials (TP, soap, towels, linens)? I'm sure you do have those, so I would get that corrected.

Photos

Add captions to all photos. I would try  a different cover photo. Twilight exterior photos and anything with water do well on Airbnb. I would turn on all the lights inside and outside. Then try to get a photo looking back toward the house from the pool area (pool in foreground) and show that nice outdoor seating area in the shot as well. Set the table like guests are ready to sit down and enjoy a meal and turn on the TV.

Wildlife

Since wildlife at the doorstep is a key feature, I would remove the logo photo (Stripes and Sunsets - move to addl photos) and add an actual photo of the wildlife in the top 4 photos.
