Listing feedback

Listing feedback

This is my first time hosting myself as I’ve always used a property manager & I was hoping some of you might offer feedback or pointers to help improve it? We’re in our off-season currently so bookings are slow however they seem slower than usual for this time of year.

 Many thanks in advance!

@Jennifer3975 how does you price compare to that of similar local properties? As an unknown place with no reviews you probs need to be 10% cheaper than an established place for the first few months or so. Don't discount too far ahead though as these won't get the early reviews you need.

@Mike-And-Jane0 I did have my listing prices set considerable lower than other listing prices & I wonder if that was also a deterrent. I’ve gone through and adjusted them to be 10% less than other currently available comps in the area since reading your feedback & offering a few discount options as well. Hopefully that helps.

I’ve also received a few booking inquiries but when I respond to them, I never hear from them again. I’m curious, is there a length of time I should wait prior to responding to those? I generally respond immediately.

@Jennifer3975 I always respond as soon as I can. If I were a guest asking questions I would book as soon as I got an acceptable response hence we we try to respond speedily.
