Missing Payments

I had a reservation with a guest who checked in on November 19 and checked out on November 24.

As of today, December 8, I still have not received the payout for this booking. I opened a support case with Airbnb on December 2, and since then the only message shown is:

 

“This transaction is pending and we don’t have any more information at the moment. If you believe you received this message by mistake, contact us and we’ll do our best to help you resolve this.”

 

I am requesting an immediate review and resolution of this issue, as the payment is long overdue.

I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this delayed payouts are incredibly stressful, especially when the stay has already been completed and the message in your transaction history doesn’t give any details.

 

When a payout shows “pending” with no explanation, it usually means the payment has been routed to Airbnb’s Payouts/Financial Review team. This can happen for a few reasons such as:
• a routine security check,
• a verification step still pending, or
• the system needing a manual review before releasing the funds.

 

A couple of things that may help move the process along:

1. Double-check your payout method
Go to Menu → Payments & payouts → Payout methods and make sure everything shows as “Ready” or “Active.” Sometimes a bank update or expired verification can silently pause a payout.

 

2. Reply directly to your open support case
Keep the message short and specific, for example:
“This payout has been pending since November 24. Could you please request a manual review by the payouts specialist team?”

 

3. Ask Support to add a note to the case requesting escalation
Phone/chat agents can’t access the financial team directly, but they can increase the priority of your ticket.

Hosts who have experienced similar delays often see the payout released once a specialist finally reviews the case it just unfortunately takes longer than it should.
