Hi there. I’ve been a host for a few years (2 properties) without too many glitches. I noticed that an open week wasn’t renting in one of the listings. My settings were good. I could see the listing, but when a friend searched we realized that the listing has been ghosted or turned off by Airbnb. I contacted help and they confirmed that it’s on their end. At first they said it’s because I didn’t have instant book or smart pricing on. I pointed out that those are optional. Today I was told that it’s because I have blocked several dates off for personal use this summer. The Airbnb assistant was not budging to help make our listing visible again. Is this a thing? Has anyone else experienced this? I’m a Superhost and definitely get my rentals in.

Jenny , this is a serious issue and was one of the reasons we had to leave Airbnb , I thought it was to do with the type of mapping used but it seems it may have been deliberate , by Airbnb? I am shocked if this is the case? H

Airbnb wouldn't deliberately hide any listing , unless there was a specific reason e.g. if it was under investigation for a issue, and that doesn't appear to be the case here, as the OP's listings show up on their Airbnb profile. A Host would always be informed if that was the case.
As this discussion was posted in July we wouldn't be able to review or replicate the situation they were in at that point, and it shows from their listing that they've been receiving bookings as reviews have been left for stays since July so it looks like the issue resolved itself.

Speaking of which, when is AirBNB going to fix this problem with guests making retaliatory claims resulting in hosts getting suspended? Or better yet, when a host reports a guest for violating the Party Rule, why does the host get punished and the guest gets a refund? You are literally encouraging and rewarding guests to be s#itty.
Why are hosts getting suspended with no warning? Guests get warned (if that) when they break rules; hosts get suspended with NO warning. Do you not see the hypocrisy here?
Finally, when AirBNB suspends a listing, why are they not transparent about WHY this is happening?
Didn't @Catherine-Powell make some sort of comment about how there should be transparency in these cases? I see that has gone nowhere. Meanwhile we have more stupid categories that no one cares about...
It's not just the hotel industry that's working on giving AirBNB a bad name. Hosts that have been screwed by AirBNB are also putting the word out. You might want to rethink your strategy of hanging hosts out to dry while you kiss guest's behinds. AirBNB is working on its own demise.
This is deeply troubling.
I have a listing that has numerous amenities for an area. If I search for that area, and select all applicable amenities, the list that is returned is only 9-12 pages. Well below AirBnB's maximum of 15 pages of 18 listings per page.
Yet our unit does not show among any of these. It would be one thing if the entire 15 pages were filled up with applicable listings, but when there are only NINE pages, that leaves another 50+ listings that could be shown.
We've received two 5 star ratings out of 3 guests (first guest left no rating) so this shouldn't be an issue of quality.
Nevermind being a host, even as a guest I would be outraged to know I am not being presented with an exhaustive list of quality options.
Did you get anywhere with this? We have the same issue and support is zero help. They say it’s based on views…well if the house isn’t visible there aren’t going to be any views now are there? Would love to know if you got any resolve on this.
@Craig-And-Nancy0 I just checked,( using incognito mode) where my listings are in the search. I zoomed in on the city center, got 17 pages of results and my 3 listings are nowhere to be seen. I had to zoom in a 100 m radius to get just 2 pages of results and to find them. No wonder I didn't get any inquiries lately.
I think Airbnb rotates listings, that's why sometimes I get 2 inquiries in one day and then nothing for a week.
