NOTES field removed
After months of complaints, Airbnb ignores pleas to restore the NOTES field on the host calendar. It is clearly a useful tool for hosts to see all kinds of things they make note of when looking at a given month (cleaning staff dates, maintenance, owner use of property, holidays, etc). Why would removal of this be an 'upgrade'? When is less information ever an upgrade?
To Airbnb response team, please do not give me a link of previous posts regarding this subject. That's just an easy way of continuing to ignore this request. I would actually like it restored OR give me the reason why an empty calendar with black dots on it (indicating invisible NOTES) is an 'upgrade' to a calendar with visible notes. (Hint: no reason exists)

@Jeff2739 We still have the ability to add a note to our calendar. I'm not sure how many versions of the software Airbnb has but we are in the UK using Pro tools. Notes are visible when you track over the dot.

I think maybe @Jeff2739 is referring to the way notes appeared on the calendar before the Summer 2023 software release @Mike-And-Jane0 🤔 ?
Previously, you could see all your notes at-a-glance without having to click the dot on a date. Many Hosts found this very useful and would even provide screen shots of the month for cleaners, maintenance, landscapers etc. Also, you cannot go back and view a note on a date that has passed. The only way to view the note is to go to the specific reservation details to see it (this pertains to the U.S. Platform).

No - indeed any notes functionality seems to have disappeared - at least in the u.s. No way to add any notes to any dates at all.

They're gone from the US version. I can't write a note for a date. Totally disappeared functionality.

I'm US-based and I can still add notes? This is on a desktop computer:
Click the dates
Right Panel - Add Private Note
Black dot appears on dates where you added the note:
The problem is you have to go thru several clicks to read the note...it will not appear as previously at-a-glance. Additionally, once the date is passed, you cannot access the note any longer.
We have started adding notes to the Reservation Detail, as the note is retained with the reservation. If you are just adding notes for cleaners, etc., then the note is not accessible after the date passes.

It's still available on the App...
Click a date on the Calendar
Swipe all the way to the left to see the "add note" field

That's how my calendar *used to* look before the most recent release. Now gone from both mobile and desktop. Ridiculous.

Yes...it's a known bug with the new software and Airbnb is working on it. You can only add notes to an actual reservation; not open or blocked dates on the calendar
In the meantime, you can turn on Professional Hosting Tools and use the multicalendar to add/edit notes as a workaround until it's fixed. All Hosts can use Professional Hosting Tools even if you only have one listing. The multicalendar is only available on a desktop though; can't use in the App:
