New Host questions

I'm a new host, almost ready to publish my listing, but I have a few questions before going live.

  1. After publishing, can I adjust the minimum stay requirements? I prefer midterm rentals and thought I read something specific about midterm options.

  2. This is a shared living space, and my listing preview shows "4 beds, 4 people." I’m concerned this might be misleading, as I intend to rent out individual rooms. Any tips on how to clarify this or how to list this properly would be greatly appreciated!

If I can't do that, it would  be great to know.

Thank you!

Thank you!

@Lee5885 A few answers:

Yes you can edit anything once you go live. In fact once live you get far more amenities to choose from etc.

To correct your listing you need 4 individual listings each for 1 bedroom and 1 person. You can duplicate the listing to achieve this but many things will default to what Airbnb wants so you must edit it carefully once duplicated.

Finally go to your account and switch on pro tools. This gives access to a multi calendar that is essential for managing 4 listings. It also gives you rulesets so you can vary some things by time of year.

Hope this helps

Super helpful! I'll go in and edit the listing. Appreciate this and thank you so much!

Thanks @Paula , again all new to this, now I understand I have to tag!! 🙂

Yes, you can adjust minimum stay requirements after publishing, and most platforms have specific settings for midterm rentals (28+ days). Critically, "4 beds, 4 people" is misleading for individual room rentals. Create separate listings for each room, clearly stating in the descriptions that it's a shared living space. Describe shared areas and any house rules. Use keywords like "private room" and "shared apartment." You can also list the entire property, but do so separately with an accurate description. Contact platform support of dr. drive if you have trouble finding the right settings. Don't rely on the default preview; clarify everything in your listings.
