Hi I have just listed my home, having a very slow start. Any ideas how to increase my bookings, please?
Hi @Rads8 .. well done and welcome. Your place looks great.
The simple answer is the competition is making your place look quite expensive.
I have put in a screen shot that show your place and some of the places nearby...
you are more than double those around you!
This maybe because you are pricing your place as if all beds are full. A better way to price is to have crate for 2 people and then add additional fee for each additional adult. In this way you will get consideration from many more potential guests.
It is an idea also to offer a discount for the first 3 guest bookings.. this will help you get reviews that will assist your credibility for potential guests.
I notice that your pics could be more brightly lit... and also that each should have text on each image to draw attention to what is being displayed.
Thank about what kind of guest that are wanting to attract and refine the descriptions that you have to hit that target market better. (family? business folk? sporting folk?)
Best wishes with your venture.. by all means keep asking questions!
Regards, Graham
.. and I forgot to ask about your viewings...
go to your Host Dashboard
Click on the lines to the right of your Profile pic
select the Insights tile
click Views
this will show you how many people have looked at you listing over the past 30 days.
If you have people looking but not booking, then the price is likely to be factor.
If you don't have anyone looking... that's a different problem ... price of petrol? Winter is typically lower demand.

Hi @Rads8
I agree with the advice @Graham490 shared. In addition to that, I would also recommend fixing your photo tour. Right now, it appears that all of your beds are placed in the living area, which can be confusing for potential guests when they view your listing.
To update this, go to your listing photos and add the correct rooms and spaces, such as Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2, Bedroom 3, etc. Then assign each bed to the appropriate room and select the correct bed size. You can also add the amenities available in each room. A well-organized photo tour helps guests better understand the layout of your property, improves transparency, and can increase booking confidence.
Taking a few minutes to organize your rooms correctly can make your listing look much more professional and easier for guests to navigate.
