New listing

New listing

I have taken a break from Airbnb for about a year and am retiring to list a new property. I can’t find the “spaces” section which means I can’t add house rules. I added pictures, but had to use my phone to rearrange them as all I could do was move them one space at a time on the computer. This sure used to be so easy to manage. Any advice?? I keep getting the same repetitive AI answers on the help page that don’t help.

Hello @Kathy-and-Dave2

I usually like the new Airbnb updates as they bring us something new to make hosting easier but for me at least, this new update is buggy, not intuitive and certain key features have been taken away.

If you want to add House rules, you need to be in host mode:

==>Click on your listing

==>On the left hand side you have Listing Editor

==>Next to Your Space, you see Arrival Guide

==>Scroll down to House Rules and write your house rules and Save

Check out also that wheel icon (parameters) to see what information needs to be added here.

I agree with you that moving photos is easier if done on the phone rather than on the computer.  Make sure that as many photos are placed in the correct rooms.  Add all the amenities per room and make sure that you add the size of the beds so that guests see the "Where you will sleep" section.

Good luck!

Thank you for responding.  I know that I need to add all of that info as we have been super hosts at another property that we sold one year ago. There are none of those things you mention “to the left”. That is the frustrating part. I know what to do and know that I don’t seem to have the access to add all the info we need to. But I got pushed to the “publish” part which if I were new to Airbnb would make my property tank.

Hello @Kathy-and-Dave2

Can you provide a screen shot of what you see when you click on your listing?  You should see a split screen with Listing Editor on your left and Photo Tour on your right?

There are some functions/details that only become available to hosts once they have published their listing.

Hi @Kathy-and-Dave2

Welcome back to the world of hosting!

Have you managed to set up your photos as you wanted? If not, as Joelle mentioned, as screenshot would be very useful for us to advise you further 🙂

Thanks,

Emilie

Many of the sections of a listing are NOT available until you publish it including "the space" section. Airbnb delays the listing from appearing to guests in searches for 24-72hrs to allow the Host to finish completing the listing and there is a lot to add.
