New pricing system

New pricing system

Hi

I have accepted the new pricing system where all your charges are in one lump sum. However, I am confused. You say in your video the charge is 15.5% but it comes up as more like 28%. For instance a two night stay at £95 per nights which I set is £190 but it comes up at £244.

It is also confusing as I don't really know what price I am setting now as the total price is what arises on my home page when I look at the price setting. Can you help please

@Christopher-John8 It is not possible for us to see how the charges break down as only you can see this. The Airbnb charge will be 15.5%+VAT so 18.6% in Scotland assuming you have the same 20% VAT rate as England!

If you set a price of £100 then you will be charged 18.6% of this and you will actually receive £81.4.

Do you have any cleaning or other fees that are added to your nightly rates?

Best advice I can give is a) Keep playing with your rates which should tell you how much you will receive but then go on as a guest to Airbnb.com and simulate a booking (obviously don't pay) to see if what the guest is charged makes sense.

Thank you, AirBNB should really say that it is 15.5% plus 3.1% VAT. I am not a VAT registered business as to small  so my part of the charge should not really include that
